Set up a tiny trail
For ages 5–8 with an adult. This sample has 2 clues and an ending. The lantern is pretend. No prize or real light is needed.
- Print both pages. An adult cuts the 3 cards on the dashed borders on page 2.
- Put the ending card beside a toy basket or box, not inside it.
- Put clue 2 beside a sofa cushion, not underneath the sofa.
- Keep clue 1 in your hand. Give it to the child and read aloud.
- Follow clue 1 → sofa → clue 2 → toy basket → ending.

Keep it safe and gentle
An adult stays with the child. All cards must be reachable with feet on the floor. No climbing, blindfolds, food, flames, appliances or outdoor searching. Avoid heavy or unstable furniture. If a location is unsuitable, change that clue's words to a safe low spot before play. Keep the card order.
Help freely. There is no timer or score. Stop whenever anyone wants to. Paper, a printer and adult-handled scissors are all you need.
